STEP 11: Removal of Conditions on Residency

Upon completion of the adjustment of status process your fiance will be granted a conditional permanent residency, which will expire 2 years from the date the permanent resident card was issued. (*Your fiance's permanent residency card will not the expiration date.) Prior to the expiration of the permanent residency card you must apply to remove the conditions on her residency. This final application must be filed within the 90 day period before the permanent residency card expires. Upon completion of this last step in the process your fiance will have permanent lawful permanent residency status.
