Submission of Petitions & Supporting Documentation
Once you have completed the forms and compiled the various required supporting documentation as instructed in this Guide, you will have to submit these documents to the USCIS or U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
It is very important that you determine the proper USCIS Service Center or U.S. Embassy or Consulate which has jurisdiction over your case. If you submit the petition to the wrong government office it will delay processing. Please refer to the USCIS section in the definitions section of this Guide to determine the appropriate USCIS office for submission of your petition.
In addition, if you choose to submit your petition by express mail or private courier it is important that you make sure you use the appropriate address. Most USCIS Service Centers have a different address of express and private courier deliveries. These address are also provide in the USCIS section referenced above.
VisaAmigo strongly recommends using an express mailing service such as FedEx or UPS for submission of your petition. This will help expedite the processing of your case and these service also will provide you will delivery tracking and confirmation. Regardless of the mailing service you use, be sure that the method used provides you with a delivery receipt so you have evidence that your petition was delivered.
Before you submit the petition and supporting documentation make 3 copies of the entire package that you will submit to the USCIS or U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Mail or email one copy of anything submitted to your fiance and keep two copies for your records.
