General Instructions for Completing Forms
Much of the fiance visa process involves the completion and submission of approved government forms. We have attached all the government forms you will need to complete the fiance visa process.
All of the forms are attached in Adobe PDF format. You will need Adobe Reader to use these forms. If you do not have Adober Reader you can download it at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
The forms are fillable PDFs so you can type directly in the form fields. However, you may not be able to save the information entered into some of the forms unless you have the full version of Adobe. Some of the forms allow you to save the data you enter without the full version of Adobe. If you can save information in the form it will say so in the caption at the top of the form.
We have provided some general instructions about each form in the appropriate section of this Guide. You will want to refer to these specific instructions when completing the forms as instructed in this Guide.
Each form also includes specific notes written directly on the form which provide some specific tips and information for properly completing the form. These notes appear in yellow captions on the electronic form. To view the note, hover your mouse pointer over the caption or click directly on the caption. These notes will not print when you print the completed form.
When you have completed the forms, print out 4 copies (original for the USCIS, copy for your fiance, and two copies for you.) Make sure you keep exact copies of the forms you submit to the USCIS or U.S. Embassy for your records.
All of the forms that will be submitted to the USCIS MUST HAVE ORIGINAL SIGNATURES.
