1. Collect the Required Supporting Documentation
You will need to submit certain supporting documentation evidencing that you and your spouse have been living together as husband and wife and that the marriage was not a sham or fraudulent marriage. Hopefully, you've already collected this documentation as we recommended in the previous section of this guide. In either case, will need the following documents:
1. Copies of bank statements, investment statements, mortgages, leases, utility bills, and other financial documents naming both you and your spouse. This shows co-mingling of assets.
2. Birth certificates of any children born to your marriage. Copies only.
3. Copy of your spouse's permanent resident card.
4. Affidavits from family or friends testifying to the fact that you live with your spouse as husband and wife.
5. Photographs of you and your spouse together on trips, at family gatherings, etc.
