STEP 8: Consular Processing

Once the NVC has processed your petition it will be forwarded to the appropriate U.S. Consulate or Embassy. The NVC will send you a notice in the mail when this happens.

This is the 2nd to last step in the fiance visa process. This step is often the most worrisome part of the process for most couples because the foreign national fiance must do most of it on her own. However, if you carefully follow the steps and advice in this section you should be able to successfully assist your fiance through this phase of the process.
