Form I-134 is called an Affidavit of Support. This is the document that is used to confirm that you have the financial resources to support your fiancé. You will have to show income in an amount equal to the current federal poverty guidelines for your household size. (*However, once you are married to your fiance and apply for adjustment of status you must show that you earn 125% of the federal poverty guideline amount so you should reconsider applying or make sure you have a co-sponsor f your income does not meet this level.)

We recommend that you retain an unsigned copy of this form which you can sign later in the process and submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate if required to avoid completion of this form twice.
