Collect I-134 Supporting Documentation

You will need to provide documentation supporting the information you provide in Form I-134 and evidencing your financial ability to support your fiance. You will need to provide the following supporting documentation:

1. Bank Letter. The letter must indicate:

a. Date account opened;
b. Total amount deposited in the previous year; and
c. Current balance.

2. Employer Letter. The letter must be on company letterhead and indicate the following:

a. Date of Employment;
b. Nature of Employment (what is your job or position.); and
c. Whether the position is temporary or permanent. (*Permanent does not mean that the employer agrees to employ you for any specific period—it just means that the employment isn’t for a specified time that will definitely end.)

*NOTE: If you are self-employed you only need to provide your last years tax return and a copy of a business report from a commercial rating firm such as Dunn & Bradstreet. (*If such a report is not available for you or your company just indicate this in your cover letter.)

3. Investment Statements. Copies of most recent statements of all your investment accounts including 401K, IRA, mutual funds, simple investment account, or other similar investment accounts.

4. Tax Returns. Copies of your tax return for the last 2 years.
