STEP 4: Prepare Supporting Documentation

1. Determine Proper USCIS Filing Address. In order to determine the appropriate USCIS Service Center for filing refer the to USCIS section in this guide.

2. Prepare the Letters of Intent to Marry. The letter of intent to marry is the document which evidences the intent of you and your fiance to be married. A form letter is attached in Word format. Open this document and prepare one letter for you and one for your fiance by entering the required information in the appropriate fields.

3. Prepare the USCIS Cover Letter. The USCIS Cover Letter is the letter you will send to the USCIS along with your petition. A form cover letter is attached in Word format. Open this document and enter the address of the appropriate USCIS Service Center and enter the other requested information in the appropriate fields. Some of the document enclosures listed may not apply to your case. These are indicated and should be deleted if they do not apply.
